One Milky Way Den Haag

The Binckhorst district is currently undergoing large-scale urban development. The municipality has prioritised this new part of Den Haag. Significant infrastructure investments have been allocated to the area, including the construction of a new tram line.

We are jointly developing this mixed-use project, including a 70-metre residential tower housing 270 homes. A communal rooftop terrace with exceptional views across the city has been created for all residents. On the lower floors, above the ground-level commercial units, premium office space is being fitted out.

OZ designed this striking residential tower in the city centre — a landmark easily recognisable even from a distance. The project spans approximately 25,000 m² in total, of which 27% is reserved for commercial and office functions.

The second part of the building is lower. Here we use timber construction: CLT panels — cross-laminated solid timber planks. The structural adhesive is environmentally friendly, producing a very strong and fire-resistant panel material. These CLT panels do not emit CO₂; instead, they store it long-term.
