Wasa Student Village — completion

In Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Wasa Student Village has opened after a record construction time of twenty weeks. The village-style complex houses 358 students across seven buildings — and sets a new benchmark for what is possible with modular, timber-driven urban development.

A village in the city

Rather than one large student block, Primestone Development deliberately chose seven separate buildings that together form a village. Timber façade panels in three different motifs create variation and recognisability per block. The result is a scale and streetscape in which students feel at home — not corridor architecture, but a real community.

Twenty weeks from first pile to completion

Through smart prefabrication and tight planning, the complex was realised in just twenty weeks of construction. For 358 housing units that is exceptional — and it is exactly what the Amsterdam market needs right now: speed without compromise on quality.

Wasa Student Village proves that student housing in Amsterdam can not only be scarcer, but also built better and faster. Primestone Development remains committed to projects that add value — for the city, for the residents and for the future.
